Maybe you've been down this road before (you have experience with a similar situation). You face a decision and you don't know what to do. You've looked up and down the list of possibilities but nothing seems clear. Every choice seems like walking down a blind alley. You start to feel down because you're stuck, but you can't put it down and forget about it.
Before you are completely down and out, you get an idea. Quickly you write it down so you don't forget. Your best friend listens to you describe it, and says, "Yeah, it looks good. I'm down with that."
Now you're walking down the street with a smile on your face. You can put this one down as a learning experience.
When it came down to it, you did what you needed to do, faced the obstacles, and made the tough decision.
No one can put you down for giving up.
